CORPORATE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT: Where a charity / NGO & a Corporate (business) organization are brought together in group learning experiences.
CSD events and programs enable organizations to utilize training budgets to develop their people and create tangible CSR stories at the same time.
These 6 / 12 month programs enable a corporate team and their chosen charity’s / NGO’s executives to learn and practice leadership, management and team development techniques in a large scale project that builds sustainability for the charity / NGO and ability for the “Corporates”.
These programs give participants the opportunity and TIME to practice new skill or behaviour by using them to directly help others in meaningful charitable projects. The program inculcates a sustained motivation to practice.
The programs are mostly delivered through learning events each 2/3 days in duration over a 6 or 12 month period. At these events the participants experientially learn subject matter, then practice the learning in the between events by working with their chosen charity on an action learning project.
Depending on the learning targeted in the program action learning projects could include:
Developing and implementing a strategic / operational plan
Looking at a key aspect of the charity that needs updating or re-engineering
Creating products or services that will allow the charity to make profitable revenue that can be used to support sustainable development
